Madeline Schmidt is the Founding Partner and a social media attorney with a background in music and entertainment law.

Madeline founded Schmidt Law with the goal of helping content creators, talent agencies & brands realize their potential and reach successful resolutions of their legal issues. She takes a proactive approach to helping her clients achieve their unique goals through consultative communication, and prioritizes prompt and equitable results.

Prior to starting the firm, she was an associate in the music group of a major law firm representing the industry’s leading artists and producers, from Grammy winners to up-and-coming talent. She also spent three years with an agency gaining knowledge of corporate legal matters in the digital space. Before obtaining her law degree and relocating to New York City, Madeline enjoyed a successful media sales career in California.

Outside of running a law firm, Madeline is an advocate of victim’s rights. She is a pro bono attorney with the Legal Aid Society and volunteers with a number of anti-domestic violence and anti-human trafficking organizations throughout the United States.
